The factional chairman of Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa was booed by the supporters of Peter Obi, Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, popularly known as ‘Obidients’ on Wednesday.
He was booed outside the court of appeal in Abuja.
The opposing LP faction outside the court was screaming, ‘Ole’ (loosely translated as a thief), ‘Imposter’ etc., as Apapa’s supporters led him away from them.
This was as the party factions clashed and tried to attack Apapa, who was barricaded by the police.
The drama happened shortly after the opposing faction in the LP leadership crisis resisted journalists who tried to interview Apapa.
It was reported that there was a disagreement between two factions of the party before the court resumed proceedings at the tribunal.
Earlier, there was a mild drama at the Tribunal when Lamidi Apapa appeared to represent the Labour Party at the sitting.
