This unfolding event comes a day after the House of Assembly Complex was razed by arsonists.
The Rivers State House of Assembly majority leader, Edison Ehie, has emerged as the new House speaker.
This was revealed in a post made on the Rivers slState Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s X page where he wrote “Congratulations Mr. Speaker.”
This development is coming just a few hours after Ehie was reportedly suspended alongside six other members.
Meanwhile, the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Simeon Amadi has also been suspended.
