Police Operatives have apprehended 39-year-old Chukwuebuka Ekwueme over the attempted murder of one inspector Oche Stephen in Mafoluku area of Oshodi, Lagos.

The victim was reportedly rushed to the hospital after the suspect used a machete to inflict serious injuries to the back of his head and his right arm.

The suspect, who has threatened multiple Police Officers, is a renowned notorious cultist in the Mafoluku area of Oshodi in Lagos State, and that the incident occurred after an earlier misunderstanding between the suspect and victim.

Sources say the suspect is a grandson of late ex-Nigerian Vice President, Sir Alex Ekwueme, although there was nothing to confirm how true this is.

Ekwueme is therefore alleged to have committed a crime contrary to section 230 (a) (b) Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

According to the IPO in charge, Asp A. Patricia, the suspect’s arraignment which was to be held at the Ogba Magistrate’s Court on 20 April, has been postponed to 25 April, for hearing.
